- birth — 16 Aug 1821 , Arienzo, strada Cospi “THE FIRST CHILD, THE FIRST ADDRESS AND THE FIRST AGE THIS HOUSEHOLD HAS EVER HAD. Act 77: «L'Anno mille ottocento ventuno, il dì SEDICI del mese di AGOSTO, ad ore tredici, avanti di Noi VINCENZO MORGILLO Sindaco … è comparso DOMENICO COSPI, di anni CINQUANTASETTE, di professione CONTADINO, domiciliato in questo Comune, strada COSPI, quale ci ha presentato una FEMINA … che la stessa è nata da MARGARITA FALCO sua moglie legittima, di anni QUARANTUNO … nel giorno SEDICI del mese di Agosto, anno corrente, alle ore NOVE, nella casa sua propria d'abitazione … il nome di ANNA MARIA TERESA». Witnessed by FABRIZIO COSPI, twenty-seven, FERRARO, and GASPARO DIGLIO, forty, CALZOLAJO, both of strada Porta di Sopra. The INDICAZIONE has the Parroco di Sant'Andrea Apostolo returning the notice the same day, naming the child «ANNA MARIA TERESA COSPI».
Before this the couple existed only in her death act of 1836 and in one line of an 1819 marriage index. They now have a daughter, a street of their own name, and both their ages: he fifty-seven, born about 1764; she forty-one, born about 1780 — against the sixty her 1836 death act gives her, which implies 1776. Four years apart, and neither is adopted.
