The Falco Archive
What exists, where — and what does not

Holdings

A map of the registers themselves. Most of the dead ends in this archive were not failures of searching but failures of knowing what had been filmed, and each one had to be rediscovered by hand. This page is so that no gap is ever found twice.

A nil is only worth what its boundaries are worth. Before this page existed the archive recorded a Benevento fondo as «not located» when it was on Antenati all along, hunted a birth act for weeks in a year that is simply not digitised, and read sixty-four marriage acts in the wrong town.

Every line below was established by enumerating a holding — paging the catalogue until it ran out — not by guessing at shelf-marks.

ARIENZO · Caserta

The line itself, 1717–1880s. Seven households, mostly on strada Camellara.

Parish baptisms FamilySearch M9J1-7MY 1672–1738 and 1761–1837 A GAP 1738–1761 — and Matteo Falco's own baptism, and probably Francesca Crisci's, fall in it.

Civil deaths Antenati 1809 onward READ ACT BY ACT, EVERY YEAR 1809–1865 — the whole run Antenati holds. The earliest seven volumes, 1809–1815, were the last to be done and were finished on 23 September 2026; this row said they were unread until that day.

Deaths Antenati 1809–1865, then 1931–1942 Same gap. The 1937 and 1939 volumes gave this family three acts.

Not this family — but it holds FORCHIA DI CERVINO, which is not Forchia.

All series Antenati 386 registers A frazione has no register of its own, so anything at «Forchia di Cervino» is filed under CERVINO. This is what proves the archive's Forchia work is on the right Forchia.

Arienzo parish registers. Machine transcripts of WHOLE PAGES; the search ORs its terms, so a two-surname query returns MORE than one. Enumerate on a word every act carries instead — «denunciationibus» for marriages, «sacramentis» for deaths.

FamilySearch

THE PROCESSETTI: marriage supplements, proclamations and bann supplements across many Caserta comuni. 1,503 Falco pages. FOR ARIENZO THE SERIES EFFECTIVELY BEGINS ABOUT 1875 — year-mentions run 1871:1, 1872:2, 1873:1, 1874:3, then 1875:19 and onward, and every pre-1875 mention is a birth extract QUOTED INSIDE a dossier of the 1890s. So generation five's marriage (c. 1870–72) is outside the filmed range, and generation six's of 1897 is in it. Carminantonio × Filomena are NOT in it either — they married in Benevento province.

A SEPARATE filming from Antenati's. It DOES cover Forchia in 1897 — a control on the surname IULIANO returns about thirty Forchia records in every year 1894–1899 — and Filomena Annecchino is still not in it.
