Mary Elizabeth Kolbe with her Enslin, Margareth Kolbe with her Barry, two entries apart in the Burgersdorp register on 23 October 1853. The contradiction → And it puts them at Burgersdorp. The 1915 death notice says the marriage was at “Burghersdorp (probably)” — a son guessing, sixty-five years on, at something nobody had told him.…
