What the registers say
- death — 21 Oct 1817 , Arienzo “the act naming this marriage is his own death act”ANTENATI an_ua14319 img59r
- named as declarant — 25 May 1817 , Arienzo, strada Maddalena “THE CIVIL REGISTER NAMES HIS FATHER, AND IT AGREES WITH THE PARISH. «è comparso ANGELANDREA DI GUIDA DI GIUSEPPE, di anni VENTISEI, di professione CONTADINO, domiciliato in questo Comune, strada MADDALENA».
This archive had his filiation from the parish baptisms alone — baptised 29 November 1791, a child of GIUSEPPE DI GUIDA and MADDALENA RIVETTA, which is what makes him ANTONIA DI GUIDA's brother and the founder's son's brother-in-law. «DI GIUSEPPE» in a civil act is an independent document saying the same thing, and twenty-six in May 1817 against a baptism of 29 November 1791 is twenty-five and a half — right to the half-year, which this office almost never manages.
It is also the only act this archive has of him alive. He dies on 21 October 1817, and everything else it holds about him comes from that death.”ANTENATI an_ua14414 (Arienzo, Nati 1817) atto 50, foglio 89, img 25r — READ FROM THE IMAGE - baptism — 29 Nov 1791 , Arienzo “«cui dedit nomen ANGELUS ANDREAS» — the same man whose civil death act of 21 Oct 1817 names these parents. About twenty-five when he died.”3Q9M-CSD3-13XT-X
- death — 21 Oct 1817 , Arienzo “«Angelo Andrea di Guida figlio di Giuseppe di Guida e Michedalena Rivetti, marito di Teresa Vigliotta» — died at seven in the morning; no age given
HELD IN A SEPARATE HOUSEHOLD UNTIL 23 SEPTEMBER 2026, WHEN THIS ARCHIVE'S OWN NOTE ALREADY SAID IT WAS THE SAME COUPLE. Angelo Andrea di Guida's civil death act names his parents «figlio di GIUSEPPE DI GUIDA e MICHEDALENA RIVETTI», and the parish baptised him on 29 November 1791 to GIUSEPPE DI GUIDA and MADDALENA RIVETTA. That match — parish against civil, two independent series, one household — is what proved Antonia di Guida's parentage in the first place. The archive then kept the two spellings as three separate households, so Antonia di Guida's own father stood twice on her page.
«Michedalena» is the civil scribe's blend: the parish wrote Magdalena for forty years. The person is filed under the parish form and the evidence still quotes the clerk word for word.”ANTENATI an_ua14319 img59r
