- named — living 24 Jan 1820 , Arienzo, strada Camellara “«figlio di ARCANGELO CRISCI, di professione Contadino, domiciliato ivi strada Camellara» — the FIRST CIVIL RECORD to place this marriage on the ground. Until now the archive knew of Arcangelo Crisci's marriage to Anna Falco only at second hand. He is a contadino, and he lives on the family's own street.”ANTENATI an_ua14322 img5r act6
- marriage — 3 May 1818 , Arienzo “THE DATE OF A MARRIAGE THIS ARCHIVE HELD ONLY AS A FACT. The 1818 Tavola Alfabetica annuale de' Matrimonj pairs «ARCANGELO COSSI» with «ANNA FALCO», her parents given as «DI PASQUALE, e CHIARA RIVETTI» — no «fu» before either, and Pasquale Falco did not die until 1834. Married before the church 3 MAGGIO 1818. Anna was baptised 28 October 1795, so she married at TWENTY-TWO and was dead at twenty-four, on 23 August 1820. THE SURNAME IS WRITTEN COSSI HERE AND CRISCI IN THE 1820 ACTS — both read from the image, and this archive has already recorded that Cossi and Crisci are not reliably separable in this hand. The identification does not rest on it: there is one Anna Falco of Pasquale and Chiara, and one Arcangelo she was married to”ANTENATI an_ua14117 (Arienzo, Matrimonj indice 1818) img 1 — READ FROM THE IMAGE
- named in a marriage index — 3 May 1818 , Arienzo “«fu NICOLA, e CHIARA MAJONE» — HIS PARENTS, NAMED FOR THE FIRST TIME, and his father already dead by May 1818. Until now this man existed in the archive only as «Arcangelo Crisci, contadino of strada Camellara», husband of Anna Falco, from the acts that buried his two-day-old son and then his wife”ANTENATI an_ua14117 (Arienzo, Matrimonj indice 1818) img 1 — READ FROM THE IMAGE
- named as declarant — 22 Jan 1820 , Arienzo, strada Camellara “AND HIS AGE HERE BEARS ON A QUESTION THIS ARCHIVE HAS KEPT OPEN FOR MONTHS. «ARCANGELO CRISCI, di anni CINQUANTA, di professione CONTADINO, domiciliato in questo Comune, strada CAMELLARA» — fifty in January 1820, so born about 1770.
That is the same year the 1814 marriage act gives for Andreana Crisci's father, read from the image on 20 September 2026: «ARCANGELO CRISCI suo padre di anni QUARANTAQUATTRO», which is also born about 1770. Two acts, six years apart, agreeing to the year.
This archive keeps TWO Arcangelo Crisci apart — one born about 1770, one about 1795 — and has said that the elder could only ALSO be Anna Falco's husband if Sara Ruggiero had died between September 1814, when she consented before a notary to her daughter's marriage, and about 1818. The age agreement is now the strongest evidence that they are one man, and it makes that death the thing to look for. It is not claimed. An age is an age, these registers guess them, and a coincidence of two guesses is not an identification. What has changed is that the two figures no longer disagree.”ANTENATI an_ua14417 (Arienzo, Nati 1820) img 14r, atto 12 — READ FROM THE IMAGE
