  “THE GENERATION ABOVE SABBATINO, FROM THE PAPERS HIS MARRIAGE WAS BUILT ON. The 1860 Arienzo marriage act named him in three words — «CARMINE ANNECCHINO defunto» — and this archive had nothing else. The dossier behind that act is on Antenati and free, and document 2 is his death extract.
  
  Forchia, Morti 1838, act 20, 8 August 1838: «sono comparsi DOMENICO STROFFOLINO, di anni cinquanta, di professione colono … e GIOVANNI LAURIELLO, di anni quaranta, di professione viaticale … i quali àn dichiarato, che nel giorno stesso otto del mese di Agosto anno corrente, alle ore dodici, è morto nella sua propria casa CARMINE ANNECCHINO, nato in FORCHIA, di anni cinquantadue, di professione colono, domiciliato ivi Masseria de' Preti, figlio di ANTONIO ANNECCHINO defunto … e di MARIA GUIDA defunta».
  
  Born about 1786. His son's 1825 birth act makes him forty in February 1825, which is 1785; the clerks guessed both. NOT the Carmine Annecchino of «Carmine Annecchino & Maria Carfora», who was fathering children at Forchia in 1901.”
