  AND HE IS STILL ALIVE IN 1865. His daughter Angela's marriage act of 23 January 1865 names him «di professione contadino, domiciliato ivi» with no «fu» and no «defunto» — in an act that marks the groom's father «fu Antonio» and the groom's mother «fu Alessandra Alvanese» two lines above. Thirty-eight in 1846 makes him about fifty-seven then.”
