  “A CARFORA MARRIED TO A MORGILLO, ON STRADA SIGNORINDICO, SEVENTEEN YEARS BEFORE THE COUPLE THIS ARCHIVE BUILT THAT STREET AROUND. Francesco Carfora married Pasqua Morgillo on 29 June 1828 and lived on strada Signorindico. Here in 1811 a Pietro Carfora is married to a Catarina Morgillo on the same street.
  
  THIS IS NOT CLAIMED AS THE EARLIER GENERATION OF THAT HOUSE. Francesco Carfora's own marriage act names his father as MATTEO CARFORA, dead by 1828 — not Pietro. The two households are separate until a document joins them.
  
  He is probably the father of the Stefano Carfora this archive already tracks. The 1816 Arienzo death register records a declarant «Stefano Carfora di Pietro», thirty years old, so born about 1786. A Pietro Carfora fathering a son in 1786 and another in 1811 is one man's ordinary span. Probable, on the patronymic alone.”
