Felix LERENA (father of Sancho)
NAMED ON AN ACT, 15 September 2026 - the first time this archive has had a generation above Sancho on anything but a tree. The baptism of their grandson LUIS ESCOLASTICO at the Iglesia Matriz of Montevideo, 10 February 1811, gives "Abuelos paternos FELIZ GERENA y ROSALIA AGUILAR" in the same sentence that calls their son "Don SANCHO LLERENA natural de ANDALUCIA" . GERENA is the machine's G-for-L - a seventh spelling for this family, and the same mangling that produced the still-unresolved "Dona Andugara GERENA" in the Santa Rosa de Lima confirmations at Rosario. He is written FELIZ, the ordinary period spelling of FELIX. WHAT IS STILL NOT KNOWN ABOUT THEM: everything else. No dates, no places, no marriage, no other children. The Geneanet pages carry nothing but the line "Family: Revista 15 IEGU", and one Spanish tree offers Cordoba about 1725 and a marriage about 1753 - all values marked "about", with no source at all, and giving Sancho a birth of ca 1754 that the 1812 padron contradicts. So the PARENTAGE is documented and the PEOPLE are not. The search that follows from this is FELIX LERENA and ROSALIA AGUILAR in CORDOBA and it has not been run against Spanish parish records. READ OFF THE PLATE 21 September 2026, where this row had rested on a MACHINE TRANSCRIPT since 14 September. Film 007713375 image 02410, Iglesia Matriz de Montevideo, the baptism of Luis Escolastico, 10 February 1811 - the only record in this archive that names Sancho's own parents. AND THE PLATE CORRECTS HIS SURNAME. The machine transcript read the line as 'Abuelos paternos FELIZ GERENA y ROS[A]LIA AGUILAR', and this archive inferred FELIX LERENA from it. The page itself reads 'Ab.s pat.s FELIX LLERENA y Ros[alia Aguilar]' - FELIX, with an X, and LLERENA WITH THE DOUBLE L, in the same hand that writes his son 'Sancho Llerena' two lines above. So the earliest Spanish generation this archive can name spelled it LLERENA.
This person is connected to the line, and no parent, spouse, child or sibling of theirs is named by any record here.
