Jose Loreto LERENA Fernandez
AN EIGHTH CHILD OF SANCHO AND MARIA FERNANDEZ, FOUND 15 September 2026, and he is in no tree and no census. He was found only because the surname was searched as LORENA. Under LLERENA and LERENA he does not appear. HE IS NOT IN THE 1812 PADRON, which lists six children and no boy of about five. The likeliest reading is that he died before 1812, which is what a household return's silence usually means about a small child - but no burial has been looked for and none is claimed here. The Geneanet tree's own prose says the couple had EIGHT children while naming seven. He may be the eighth. READ OFF THE PLATE 21 September 2026, and the transcript had one word wrong. Film 008166571 image 01176. THIS ROW QUOTED THE TRANSCRIPT AS 'SANCHO LORENA'. THE PLATE SAYS LERENA. That is the fourth assertion about this family's spelling to turn out to be the machine's rather than the scribe's in one day. AND 'VECINOS DE ESTA VILLA' IS WORTH MORE THAN THE SPELLING. In December 1806 Sancho and Maria were RESIDENTS OF CANELONES, not visitors to it - which joins up with Agustina's baptism there in 1795, Dominga's in 1804 and Justa Pastora being called 'natural de Canelones' in 1831. The family lived at Canelones for at least eleven years and had moved to Montevideo, calle San Juan No 60, by the padron of 1812. The godfather was brought from Montevideo, which is the other direction.
This person is connected to the line, and no parent, spouse, child or sibling of theirs is named by any record here.
