There is another record for Frederick Robert D'Arcy who married a Sophia (?) in Laucenston, Tasmania in 1840. This requires further investigation. It may still be the same couple who, for some legal requirement, wanted to 'confirm' their marriage in Tasmania. I t is worthwhile to mention that up to 1839 NSW and Tasmania DBM records were not separated. So when Tasmania opened its own separated BDM, the D'Arcy may have wanted to be on record and the information may have come down to us as a 'new marriage'.
