The thing worth looking at
Two plots, four people
A cemetery plot reference is precise: portion, section, grave number. When the same reference appears against two people it is either quietly true — families did share graves, and routinely — or it is a copy-and-paste error propagated through an online tree. This archive cannot tell which, and says so.

The two read very differently. At Toowong, a father and the son who died
thirteen years after him — entirely ordinary, and probably true. At Lutwyche, a woman and her
son's wife, who died five years before her. Also possible, and much more the sort of thing a
records-matcher invents. One email to the Brisbane City Council cemetery register
settles both in a minute, and it is now on the list.
