Dona Juliana Joaquina GONZALEZ

Mother of Julia Juanico, and wife of Dr Candido Juanico. Published genealogy gives Candido's wife as SIXTA Lenguas Gonzalez, married 1857 - too late for a daughter marrying in 1864, so Juliana is an earlier wife. That is inference from dates. A THIRD ACT NOW NAMES HER, 13 September 2026: the baptism of her grandson Candido Jaime, San Francisco de Asis act No. 1720 of 6 July 1886, reads "maternos: Don Candido y Dona Juliana Gonzalez". Twenty-two years after the marriage act, the same parish still gives Julia's mother as Juliana Gonzalez. The published genealogy's SIXTA Lenguas Gonzalez is not what the registers say. AND THE TWO-WIVES INFERENCE IS CONFIRMED. Searching Candido Juanico as a father returns two distinct sets of children: Julia, by Juliana Joaquina Gonzalez, born 1842; and Sara, Zara Sista Emirena and Celia, all JUANICO LENGUAS, born 1866-1869 to SIXTA LENGUAS. A full generation apart. The published genealogy was right about the 1857 marriage and wrong to attach it to Julia.
