Jose Julio LERENA Juanico
A SIXTH CHILD of Luis Eugenio Lerena Lenguas and Julia Juanico, found 13 September 2026. Born 15 March 1879 at Montevideo and not registered until 14 September 1908, when he was 29 - a late registration of the kind a man makes to produce proof of birth for his own wedding, and he does appear on a Montevideo marriage index card for 1908. THE IMAGE IS OPENED. Born at the house calle YI No. 303, and registered in 1908 by HIS OWN MOTHER - Dona Julia Juanico, 64, a widow of calle Buenos Aires 102. The act independently confirms Luis Eugenio's death, "fallecido en esta Ciudad el veinte y cuatro de Diciembre de mil novecientos uno", from a different document written seven years after it. AND IT PLACES JUSTINIANA LENGUAS, AT EIGHTY-SEVEN, RESIDENT IN THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC. AND HE WAS ALMOST CERTAINLY A JUDGE. Thirty-five Montevideo civil marriage acts of 1902-1914 open "Por ante mi JULIO LERENA JUANICO, JUEZ DE PAZ y OFICIAL DEL ESTADO CIVIL de la Primera Seccion del Departamento de Montevideo". The compound surname is this family's and no other here; he is the only JULIO among the seven children; and he would be thirty in 1909. STRONG BUT NOT PROVED - no act read so far gives the judge's own parents. And it explains the oddest thing in his record: a man appointed Oficial del Estado Civil needs proof of his own birth rather more than a bridegroom does, which is why his widowed mother swore it before a Juzgado de Paz in September 1908.
No record here names a parent, spouse, child or sibling for this person. This archive calls that unplaced: held, named, shown with the record that produced them, and not tied to a household on anything less.
