HUSBAND OF DOMINGA LLERENA, SANCHO'S DAUGHTER - established on an act 14 September 2026. A CAPTAIN, son of MAYOR DON JOAQUIN RUIZ DE CARVALLO and the late Dona Juana Suarez. Named in the Catedral baptism of their daughter Lucinda Gregoria, 12 May 1827. He is one half of the two-Dominga problem: a second indexed record gives a Dominga, daughter of Sancho and Maria Fernandez, married instead to an ANTONIO RODRIGUEZ. Both husbands are ANTONIO, which is suggestive and is not proof. THE TWO-DOMINGA PROBLEM IS CLOSED, AND HE IS THE REASON IT EXISTED. The baptism of his son DOMINGO on 25 October 1840 calls him "D. ANTONIO RODRIGUEZ DE CARBALLO" where the 1827 act called him "CAPITAN DON ANTONIO RUIZ DE CARVALLO" - and both give his father as JOAQUIN and his wife as a DOMINGA whose parents are SANCHO LERENA and MARIA FERNANDEZ. One man, one wife, two spellings, and an index that made him look like two husbands. The 1840 act adds that he was born in the PROVINCIA DEL RIO GRANDE, Brazil, and that his parents came from the COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO.
