Pedro Antonio LERENA (son of Sancho)

ANOTHER SON OF SANCHO LLERENA AND MARIA FERNANDEZ, and so another BROTHER OF DON LUIS - found 14 September 2026. "D. PEDRO ANTONIO LERENA natural de esta", with "Abuelos Paternos: D. Sancho y Dna Maria Fernandez" named at his daughter's baptism on 4 July 1837. He married DONA VICENTA VEGA of Cerro Largo. His brother Luis and Luis's wife Carolina Oribe stood godparents to the child. HIS BAPTISM ACT IS FOUND, 15 September 2026, and it carries two things about his FATHER that nothing else did. Canelones, 1 August 1793: "El Capellan del REGIMIENTO DE INFANTERIA DE BUENOS AYRES Don Bartolome Munoz; bautizo puso oleo y crisma a PEDRO ANTONIO DE LA SSMA TRINIDAD que nacio ayer, hijo legitimo del SOLDADO DRAGON SANCHO LERENA, y de Maria Fernandez, fueron Padrinos Don Antonio Aleman, y su mujer Dona Gregoria Ribero." Born 31 July 1793 - this archive had only the year, from a tree, and an age of 19 in the 1812 padron. His full baptismal name is PEDRO ANTONIO DE LA SANTISIMA TRINIDAD. His father is called SOLDADO DRAGON - a dragoon - where every other record says only soldado. AND THE PRIEST IS THE CHAPLAIN OF THE REGIMIENTO DE INFANTERIA DE BUENOS AIRES - the exact unit whose Libros Castrenses, 1781-1814, are filmed as FamilySearch DGS 7713373. That makes the military registers the first place to look for Sancho's 1791 marriage rather than a hopeful one, because that regiment's chaplain was demonstrably serving this family at Canelones two years after it. A SECOND RECORD OF HIM, AND IT IS FIFTEEN YEARS LATER, found 21 September 2026. He stood godfather with his wife Vicenta Vega at the baptism of PEDRO ALBERTO YSABELINO LERENA at the Aguada on 21 November 1852 - his brother Avelino's son, and a boy given his own name. He was fifty-nine. Until this act the archive held him only through his daughter's baptism of 1837 and had nothing that showed him alive after it. It also shows the two brothers keeping company: Avelino asked Pedro Antonio to the font, as he and Luis had stood for each other's children at La Mauricia in 1846.
