Alejandro Joaquin Narciso LERENA Villardemoros
Born 29 October 1872 and christened at the Iglesia del Cordon on 29 May 1873, son of Alejandro Lerena and Elisa Villardemoros. His godparents are the interesting part: JOAQUIN REGUSA Y GARCIA and ANGELICA VILLADEMOROS. The first is almost certainly the JOAQUIN REQUENA named on the 1866 christening of Avelino Pedro Joaquin Silvestre, his probable first cousin; the second carries his mother's surname. The child's own second forename is JOAQUIN, for the godfather, which is how this family names. Index-level. READ OFF THE PLATE 27 September 2026. ELISA VILLADEMOROS], orientales. Padrinos D. JOAQUIN REGUSA y Da. ANGELICA VILLADEMOROS.' NO GRANDPARENTS ARE NAMED, which is the one thing this plate was opened for. HE CROSSED TO ARGENTINA AND MARRIED THERE, found 27 September 2026. Marriage 1907 at the Inmaculada Concepcion, BELL VILLE, departamento Union, CORDOBA - to AMALIA CASAS, with his parents given as 'ALEJANDRO M LERENA' and 'ELISA VILLADEMORAS'. SO THE SON OF THE FIRST MARRIAGE WENT TO ARGENTINA TOO. His half-brothers and half-sisters by Julia Bassani were born at Montevideo, then Misiones, then Buenos Aires; he is in CORDOBA. INDEX ONLY - no image opened. A marriage act names the groom's parents, his age and often his birthplace, so this plate is worth opening: it would be a FOURTH independent statement of his father's name and might date him. READ OFF THE PLATE 27 September 2026, and it gives four things the index did not. THE INDEX SAID ONLY '1907' AND 'Inmaculada Concepcion, Bell Ville'; THE PLATE SAYS 20 JUNE AND SAN JERONIMO. And the index read the surname SERENA: on the plate the initial is a clear L, set beside the scribe's own S in 'San Jeronimo' on the same opening. SIXTH S-FOR-L. Age 34 in June 1907 fits his birth of 29 October 1872. THE BANNS WERE DISPENSED AND THEY MARRIED IN THE BRIDE'S HOUSE RATHER THAN THE CHURCH, which is what haste or illness looks like on a parish form.
