JOSE BALBI bautizo a JACINTA MERCEDES GREGORIA, nacida el 19 de Sept. ultimo, hija legitima de D. ALEJANDRO M. LERENA y de D.a ELISA [VILLADEMOROS] (HOY FINADA), orientales. ABUELOS PATERNOS D. AVELINO y D.a AMBROSIA TRAIBEL, maternos D. PEDRO y D.a ANGELICA MENDEZ. Padrinos D. HERMENEGILDO FUENTES y D.a MERCEDES MENDEZ.' TWO THINGS THE INDEX GOT WRONG AND THE PLATE GOT RIGHT: it reads the father as 'Alejandro M. SERENA' - the S-for-L this archive has now met five times - and the grandmother as 'Ambrosia TRECIBEL'. Both are LERENA and TRAIBEL in the priest's hand.
