How this person is attached

One parent on record here is not a person

Entered as the parentBrothers [of Josephus] Žubrinić Zubrinic Xubrinich

That is a sorting label — a note somebody typed into the parent's slot while working through records. No priest wrote it and nobody was called it. The other parent is a real record. This is not a claim that the person is invented; the register entries behind them are real. It is a statement about the join. Why this matters →

Lived to a hundred and eleven

The tree saysBorn 12 March 1785, died 1896
The record saysNot reconciled

A hundred and eleven years. Not impossible, but in a tree with no death record cited for him it is far likelier that two men of one name have been merged — which the Otočac Žubrinići do constantly. Marked rather than corrected, because nothing here says which half is wrong. Read it →

Noted

Aged 111, and fathered by a label

The tree saysGregorius Žubrinić, born 12 March 1785 at Otočac, died 1896 — age 111
The record saysHis children are born 1812–1825, which fits the birth; his recorded father is “Brothers [of Josephus] Žubrinić”

The birth date is corroborated by his own children: a man fathering from 1812 to 1825 was born around 1785. It is the death that cannot stand, and the likeliest reading is a grandson of the same name. Worth noting separately because his father's slot holds Brothers [of Josephus] Žubrinić — a sorting label, not a man — which is why he was counted as a joined Žubrinić rather than a loose end until 13 September 2026. The fragments → Read it →

This archive holds no separate proof for most parent–child links; where it does, the note above this chart says so in words. 1relative is named in the tree but fall outside the eight surnames and have no page.

Where this sits in the family

Not on the direct line. They are published because they belong to one of the eight surnames this archive follows.

The register spells this surname more than one way, and the search folds the forms together — so Xubrinich and Žubrinić, Joannis and Ivan, find each other.

None. This person carries no source string at all in the tree. They may still be right — but nothing here can be checked without going to the register. Method →

An online family tree is a witness, not a source. Where a citation points at a parish register or a FamilySearch image, that is the thing worth going to. Sources →
