Photograph these

Every missing photograph on the site, gathered from all six itineraries and from the places no itinerary reaches. Print it.

Each walking itinerary ends with its own list of what to photograph. This is all of them at once, plus five that are on no itinerary at all — including the two that matter most, which are 14,000 kilometres apart and which nobody has offered to visit.

The rule that governs this list is on the Corrections page: a face without a source is worse than no face. Photograph the whole stone before the detail, and write down where you were standing.

Not on any itinerary

  1. —Horsham, Victoria Zdravko Defranceski's stone. He died at Horsham on 22 December 1979 — twenty years before the date the family carried. This archive has the date and no photograph.
  2. —Johannesburg Hedviga's stone. She died at Johannesburg on 30 October 2001, six years to the day after Ivan died at Senj. Thirteen of the seventeen people on earth who spell it «Defranceski» are in that city.
  3. —Rovinj The grave of «Julius, son of Carlo», born 1853, dead 13 February 1854 — very probably Carlo De Franceschi's first child, buried at a few months old.
  4. —Vodnjan The basilica of St Blaise, and the church of San Martino and of the B. V. del Carmine. Five generations of this family were married in those three buildings and the archive has no picture of any of them.
  5. —Zadar The Ferro-Grisogono-Franceschi palace on Široka ulica, whole façade and any arms — cited here from a footnote nobody has read.

If it turns out to show something other than what it was labelled — which has happened here once already, and cost this archive its only likeness of a great-grandfather — that goes on Corrections.
