1893–1953 · Otočac, Općina Otočac, Lika-Senj County, Croatia

Death date

The tree says1953
The record says6 September 1953 — from the stone

The Kosina grave at Senj reads KOSINA · KRIŽAN · ANKA, with Anka ✻?.X.1893 †6.IX.1953. The tree carried only the year. The same stone gives her husband Pavao as pog. 8.X.1943 — poginuo, killed — “Nevina žrtva zračnog napadaja na Senj”, and records that it was raised by his grateful wife and sons. Her birth on the stone appears to read October where her 1919 marriage entry, written from her baptismal certificate, gives 4 August 1893; the stone is cracked and ivy-covered across that line and is not legible enough to contradict the register. The mark describes the person, not the link. Of the 5 relatives drawn here, 3 have a document of their own in this archive — but that is not the same as a document tying them to this person. This archive holds no separate proof for most parent–child links; where it does, the note above this chart says so in words. 6relatives are named in the tree but fall outside the eight surnames and have no page.

Where this sits in the family

Not on the direct line. They are published because they belong to one of the eight surnames this archive follows.

The register spells this surname more than one way, and the search folds the forms together — so Xubrinich and Žubrinić, Joannis and Ivan, find each other.
