Crisci
Generations one and three both married a Crisci. So did five Falco daughters, in the other direction — and the last of them married one in Australia.
Crisci is not an in-law name. It is half the family. The archive can count eleven marriages between the two surnames across roughly two hundred years — six Crisci women marrying Falco men, five Falco women marrying Crisci men. It stands at the very head of this line, and it is still there in the Brisbane generation. It had no page.

Three generations of another Crisci house — out of one bundle
Bundle 13 of the 1814 processetti marries a MARGARITA CRISCI. A marriage file had to carry the death certificates of any dead parent or grandparent, and hers were dead — so the bundle reaches back to 1789, twenty years before civil registration begins.

And her marriage lasted months. She married in 1814. On 6 February 1815 the Arienzo death register records Margarita Crisci, thirty-two, daughter of the late Angelo Crisci and Grazia, wife of Angelo Diglio. The parents match exactly, and both are named dead in both documents. This archive published the identification as probable earlier the same day; it is now established.
One half is still open. The cover names the groom only as «Angelo figlio di Nicola, e d'Antonia Abbratelli». Nothing read so far writes his surname. It is almost certainly Diglio. It is not demonstrated.

Two generations above her, found in 1814
Until September 2026 the Crisci of generation three stopped at Andreana. Her marriage dossier reaches two names further back. The Processetti →

And the Crisci lived on strada Camellara. Not near it — on it, the same short street as Pasquale Falco and his household. The two families were neighbours before they were in-laws, which is the plainest explanation this archive has yet found for why these two surnames cross eleven times.
And a Falco daughter married out, on the same street, in the same years
Anna Falco — a daughter of Pasquale Falco and Chiara Rivetti, so a sister of generation three — married Arcangelo Crisci and lived on strada Camellara. She died there on 23 August 1820, aged twenty-five. Seven months earlier the couple had buried a two-day-old son, Fortunato Crisci , on the same street.
This is what closed an old question here. The archive had two men called Arcangelo Crisci — one aged fifty-two and one aged thirty, both declaring births in 1817 — and could not tell which was which. Anna's act settles that the younger one married the line's own daughter. And Andreana's baptism now settles the other man. She was baptised on 30 November 1796, so her father was already married with a child that year: the elder Arcangelo, fifty-two in 1817, was thirty-one in 1796 — the younger was nine. Andreana's father is the elder, and that is fixed by arithmetic rather than inference. The Crisci married into this family twice in a single generation: Andreana marrying in, Anna marrying out.

Reading Andreana's marriage file meant sweeping all 290 images of the 1814 processetti. The volume holds seventeen marriages, and the Crisci are in three of them — the full census is here.
- Bundle 17 — Francesco Crisci figlio del fu Alessandro, e di Carmina …, marrying a Teresa Morgillo , published 20 November 1814. A Crisci marrying a Morgillo in the same town in the same year as our Falco married a Crisci.
- Bundle 3 — Orazio Villano , son of the late Luca Villano and ANTONIA CRISCI.
No descent from either is claimed. In a town where Crisci appears on 113 of 361 register pages, three Crisci in seventeen marriages is roughly what chance predicts. They are set down because this archive would rather record a near-miss than lose it.

The last row is the one to sit with. Costanza Falco, sister of the Carmine Falco who married Francesca Zampiello, married a Pasquale Crisci — the same two surnames, and one of the same forenames, that stand at the head of this line in the 1780s. Whether there is any descent between the two is not known and not claimed. In a town where both names were common, recurrence is what you would expect. It is set down because it is true, not because it means anything yet.
The Crisci on the ground
75 of these 100 records were read off the Arienzo death registers act by act. They put Crisci households on strada Camellara — the Falco street — and across the town. Two things they show:
- A Crisci × Morgillo couple of the founding generation. The 1843 register buries Fortunato Crisci, 59, born about 1784, «figlio di PASQUALE CRISCI defunto … e di ANNA MORGILLO defunta» — the two surnames that flank this family, in one household, in the right decade. Nothing links it to the Falco, and the archive says so on the page where it is recorded.
- Crisci married into the Annecchino too. At Forchia, Giovanna Crisci married a Carmine Annecchino — so the name touches generation seven's line as well as generations one and three.
The reading that is still open
One Crisci household is not settled and is published in that state. The 1823 register gives «Marcello Crisci & Maria Rosa Mauro»; the 1828 register gives «Marcello Cossi» with the identical wife. This archive has already been caught once by exactly that pair of shapes — five years of Cossi turned out to be Cioffi — so the doubt is left standing rather than resolved by preference.
