Costanza Maione of Arienzo — the mother of Carminantonio, and the one wife in the spine whose own birth record has actually been found.
Maione is the second maternal line this archive left unwritten. Like Annecchino it belongs to the direct line, not to the margins: Costanza Maione married Raffaele Falco, and their son Carminantonio carried the name to Australia. The archive held 92 Maione and Majone records and gave the family no page.
Costanza Maione
Born at Arienzo on 2 May 1876. She married Raffaele Falco , born at Arienzo 6 April 1873, and the children the archive can name are Giovanna (1898), Carminantonio (1901), Anna del Giudice (1904), Gerardo (1913), and Giacoma and Aniello, undated.
Hers is the one wife's birth in the spine with a record behind it. Filomena Annecchino's birth is known only from the family tree; Costanza's is cited — a Caserta Stato Civile entry of 2 May 1876 which also names her father, Aniello Maione . That is why this page can say more about 1876 than the Annecchino page can about 1897.

One spelling, three shapes
The family is written Maione in the twentieth-century papers and Majone throughout the nineteenth-century Arienzo registers — the same name with the older orthography. A third form, Maggiore, is a different Arienzo family and is not merged here, although the hands of the 1820s and 1840s make the two look alike. The Majone on the ground, 1816–1843

None of these has been joined to Aniello Maione of 1841. They are the family in its town, forty years before Costanza was born, and they are published as that rather than as a pedigree.
