  “named as the husband on his wife's death act of 1830. His age will not settle: three sightings inside twenty months give thirty (Feb 1816), thirty-six (Oct 1816) and thirty-three (Sept 1817) — «Carlantonio Morgillo, di anni trentatre, bracciale, strada Maddalena». Birth therefore somewhere in 1780×1786; this archive formerly printed «about 1784» from the 1817 act alone, which overstated it. Constant across all three: bracciale, and the household on strada Maddalena in 1817, thirteen years before Rosa died on strada Camellara.”

• named as declarant — 3 Aug 1818 , Arienzo, strada Maddalena
  “«Carlantonio Morgillo, di anni trentatre, di professione contadino, domiciliato in questo comune, strada Maddalena» — declaring the death of GIUDITTA MORGILLO as «vicino, parente», with Matteo Migliore of San Felice. A FOURTH sighting, and it tightens the age: thirty-three in September 1817 and thirty-three again in August 1818, against thirty in February 1816 and thirty-six in October 1816. The two later readings agree on a birth about 1784–85. AND A LEAD: Giuditta is daughter of the LATE Carlantonio Morgillo and Manilia Rivetti, and this Carlantonio declares her death as kin. He is very plausibly her brother, which would give this man's own parents. The act says «parente» without saying how, so it is not asserted.”

  “«Carlantonio Morgillo, di anni trentacinque, contadino» — a FIFTH sighting. Thirty-three in August 1818 and thirty-five fourteen months later: fast by a year, but the run 33 (Sept 1817), 33 (Aug 1818), 35 (Oct 1819) is broadly consistent and keeps the birth around 1784-85. The outliers remain the two 1816 readings, thirty and thirty-six.”
