Read out of a register, and not in the family tree
Alojz Borić, witness at Brinje
Witness at a baptism, 22 May 1896, Brinje, Croatia — witness to the baptism of Škorup Joso's child, of Brinje - not in the tree.
The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other
person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists
because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than
put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.

- FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1893-1897 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 338 - the baptism of a child of Škorup Joso and Milaković Marija, of Brinje, names "BORIĆ ALOJZ" as a witness alongside a woman whose surname is not confidently read, given name Marice. NOT IN THE TREE. A PLAUSIBLE, UNCONFIRMED CONNECTION: "Alojz" is the full form of the "Lojze" already in this file as father of Luce Borić at Kamenica house 83 (this file, image 244) - and that earlier entry's own witnesses were "Škorup Ivo i Marija," the same Škorup surname appearing here. Not merged, since neither entry names the two as one man, but the double coincidence (name and surname) is stronger than most of this file's other unconfirmed links. DATED AND READ AT CLOSE ZOOM 5 OCTOBER 2026 (image 338, left-hand page, second entry; page 278, entry no. 59): the first pass gave 'circa 1895' and no house. The child is ŠKORUP JOSO, born 16 and registered 22 May 1896, of Brinje house 184, son of Škorup Joso and Milaković Marija, and the informants are written 'Borić Alojz i Denić (or Benić) Marica'. Alojz is Lojze; the Lojze Borić x Mesić Manole household is at Kamenica 23 (this file), but no entry ties this Alojz to it.
