What the Registers Actually Say
Every document this archive has read off a page, with the citation in the register's own words — 1725 to 2005. Until today this file existed and was published nowhere: the site could tell you a document existed for somebody and never tell you what it said.
This archive's claim is that nothing is asserted without a document. That claim is only worth anything if you can read the document — so here is the line, in the hand it was written in, for every person it has been read for.
What a row is

A citation quotes the register. Where the words are Latin or Croatian they are left that way — Capitaneus portûs, vulgò Vukić, srpnja — because translating a register is how a reading becomes a guess.
Two things a row can be, and they are not the same

70 are derived. The archive's rule is that a baptism counts as a reading for the child and for both parents, because it names all three. A derived credit says a register names you, which is not the same claim as a register is about you, and it carries the child it came through so you can check.

It is built by tools/readingsdata.py, and two checks stand over it: datecheck.py holds every dated citation against the date this archive publishes and refuses a row that names nobody, and publishedcheck.py holds the site's own corrections against this file, so a document shown on a page cannot go unrecorded here.
