Baptism, 22 December 1892, Brinje, Croatia — daughter of Mijo Kalanj and Krnarić Manole, of Brinje house 249 - a daughter born ten months AFTER the February 1892 marriage of Mijo Kalanj and Krnarić Manole - not in the tree.
The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other
person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists
because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than
put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.

- FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1888-1900 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 193 (right-hand page, second entry; page 369), entry no. 131 - "KALANJ ANE", female, born 20 and registered 22 December 1892, of Brinje house 249, daughter of KALANJ MIJO and KRNARIĆ MANOLE, both of Brinje, farmers, Croats. Informants "Krnarić Franjo i Marija", matičar Sertić Šimun. Two later margin notes: a marriage on 4 February 1918 to a man whose surname is not clearly read, and a death on 9 September 1981 at Nova Gradiška (a registry certificate of that year). NOT IN THE TREE. FOUND ON 5 OCTOBER 2026 ON THE FULL READABLE-ZOOM RE-READ, and it raised a contradiction that the marriage entry then resolved: the first pass dated the wedding of Mijo Kalanj and Krnarić Manole 15 [month illegible] 1893, which would have put this December 1892 child before the wedding. RESOLVED 5 OCTOBER 2026: the marriage entry (image 566, page 147) is dated 15 February 1892 - it stands in the 1892 numbering of the marriage book - so Ane was born ten months after her parents married. There was no illegitimacy and no second Krnarić woman; the first pass had misread a digit. The household is Mijo's of house 249 either way: Manole (1895) and Stipe (1899, this file) are her siblings, and the informant Krnarić Franjo is the mother's kin. The margin notes give her a later life (a 1918 marriage and a death in 1981), which most of the Kalanj children in this file lack.
