Read out of a register, and not in the family tree
Anica Kalanj
Baptism, 21 November 1893, Brinje, Croatia — daughter of Niko Kalanj and Marija Vučetić, of Brinje house 231 - not in the tree.
The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other
person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists
because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than
put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.

- FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1893-1897 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 235, entry no. 144 - "KALANJ ANICA" [given name partly worn, read with reasonable confidence], female, of Brinje house 231, daughter of KALANJ NIKO and VUČETIĆ MARIJA. Witnesses Vuković Stjepan and Vučetić Janja. NOT IN THE TREE. This is very likely the first confirmed child of Niko Kalanj, already the very first Kalanj household this archive found at Brinje (Vjenčani book, image 530: Niko Kalanj, bachelor, 40, son of Juro Kalanj, married a widow named Marija, 33, in 1890). The mother's maiden name here, Vučetić, matches cleanly with no contradiction - unlike the Kamenica house 24 puzzle elsewhere in this file, this is a clean confirmation that the marriage produced a household. CORRECTED 5 OCTOBER 2026 ON THE READABLE-ZOOM RE-READ: the first pass dated this 21 August 1893. The entry (image 235, left-hand page, second entry; page 72) says born 21 studenoga, that is 21 NOVEMBER 1893, registered 26 November; father Kalanj Niko, mother Vučetić Marija, house 231, informants Vuković Stjepan i Vučetić Janja.
