A MAN BORN ABOUT 1818 at house 83 and widowed by 1888 cannot be the father of the five children of Javor Ivan x Borić Ane (Ruže 1891, Ivan 1893, Marica 1895, Luce-Mila 1896, Ane 1898, this file) unless the bride's age and the entry are both misread: the most economical reading is TWO Javor Ivans at house 83, an old widower who in 1888 married a Zoričić widow and a younger Ivan (his son?) whose wife is Borić Ane. CONFIRMED THE SAME DAY: the marriage of 15 September 1890 (image 534, Javor Ivan x Borić Ove, this file) names the younger Javor Ivan of house 83 as the son of Javor Ivan and Marija and has Javor Ivan as a witness: the two are father and son. The father's first wife (Marija?) predates 1888; his second wife is the Zoričić widow of this entry. Not merged with the Javor Ive/Ivica x Župančić Kate household.
