- Poročna knjiga Kranj-Šmartin 1881-1899, book p.59 - at the marriage of IGNACIJ KERT and FRANCIŠKA KOZINA in 1897 the bride’s parents are entered "JOŽEF KOZINA, 1/2 ZEMLJAK" and "MINA KODRAN". HE WAS ALIVE AND HE SIGNED: the Dokaznice column records "Očetovo privoljenje za mladoletno nevesto z dne 5. februarja 1897" - the father’s consent for an under-age bride - so Franciška was not yet twenty-four and was born after about 1873. A 1/2 ZEMLJAK is a half-holding farmer, which is a rung above the Häubler and kajžar this archive’s own Kozina were. NOTHING JOINS HIM TO JOHANN KOZINA of Zgornje Bitnje 9, who died in 1868, and the surname and the parish are the whole resemblance - except that Johann’s daughter is herself entered "gruntarska hči" at her marriage in 1883, which this archive cannot explain.
