Kate Borić, daughter of Tome Borić and Jela Borić (house 141, 1896)

Baptism, 7 October 1896, Brinje, Croatia — daughter of Tome Borić and Jela Borić, of Brinje house 141 - a sixth child of that household, whose own register note gives her married name as Perković - not in the tree.

The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it. FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1893-1897 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 354 (entered as 354 in the viewer; page 310 of the register), entry no. 122 (read as 122; the entry below it is plainly 123) - "BORIĆ KATE", female, born 6 and registered 7 October 1896, of Brinje house 141, daughter of BORIĆ TOME and BORIĆ JELA, both of Brinje, farmers, Croats. Informants "Perkić Mijo i Borić Marija", matičar Sertić Šimun. A later marginal note in a different hand reads, at full zoom, "umrla 2/IV 1917 g." (died 2 April 1917) followed by "Perković rođ." (née) - the surname before 'rođ.' is read as Perković with moderate confidence, the 1917 hand being a different one. NOT IN THE TREE. FOUND ON 5 OCTOBER 2026 ON THE RE-READ OF IMAGES 351-355. It is the sixth child on record of the Tome Borić x Jela Borić household of house 141 (Juraj 1888, Petar 1890, Matija 1892, Ove 1894, Luce 1899, this file), between Ove and Luce. Two facts make it matter beyond the count: (1) the 1917 note, if read right, says she married a Perković and died at twenty, a documented Borić-Perković marriage in this parish, which no other row in this file yet holds; (2) the informant is the Perkić Mijo who recurs as a witness at Borić births across the volume (the Stjepan Borić baptism of 1890, the Krnarić and Mesić baptisms of 1899, this file), so that man is now tied to the Borić households as well as to the surname the first pass kept apart from Perković. She is not merged with the Kate Borić who is a wife in the Sertić household of house 128, nor with any other Kate.
