- FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1897-1900 (third item on the same film as DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 407 (right-hand page, first entry; page 5), entry no. 150 - "ZORIČIĆ RUŽE", female, born 9 and registered 11 December (prosinca) 1897, of Brinje house 72, daughter of ZORIČIĆ PAVE and BORIĆ KATE, both of Brinje, farmers, Croats. Informants "Milaković Marko i Kate". A margin note says she died on 16 June 1958 at Zagreb (entered 12 October 1958). THE SURNAME IS PLAIN AT CLOSE ZOOM AS BORIĆ, not Perković: Pave Zoričić's wife Kate is therefore either two different women (Perković in 1891, Borić in 1897) or one woman whose maiden surname the clerk wrote two ways. The house is 70 in 1891 and 72 here, and Pave is also the given name of the Javor husband at house 70 in 1895 (Javor Pave x Perković Kate, this file); so house 70 may hold a Zoričić Pave x Kate and a Javor Pave x Kate that are separate households of different surnames, a clerical confusion of the husband's surname, or one household written three ways. Not settled; not merged. FOUND ON 5 OCTOBER 2026 ON THE FULL READABLE-ZOOM RE-READ OF THE THIRD BIRTHS BOOK (images 404-489). RESOLVED 6 OCTOBER 2026 BY THE MARRIAGE BOOK: Pave Zoričić was a widower when he married the widow Kate Borić, daughter of Borić Vid and Marija of house 142, on 28 September 1896 (image 641, this file). The Perković Kate of the 1891 Zoričić birth was his FIRST wife and Borić Kate his SECOND; they are not one woman read two ways.
