Read out of a register, and not in the family tree

Kate Borić

Baptism, 14 January 1893, Kamenica, Brinje parish, Croatia — daughter of Niko Borić, of Kamenica house 24 - not in the tree.

The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it. Citation
FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1893-1897 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 201, entry no. 9 - "BORIĆ KATE", female, of Kamenica house 24, daughter of BORIĆ NIKO and RADOTIĆ DACE. Witnesses Javor Ivan and Luce. NOT IN THE TREE. This is the same house, 24, and almost certainly the same Niko Borić already in this file as father of Marija Borić, who married out of this house in 1897 - but that entry names his wife as Bare, not Dace Radotić recorded here. Not merged: either a second wife, or the same woman under two different names or a clerical inconsistency. Recorded as written, the question left open. CORRECTED 5 OCTOBER 2026 ON THE READABLE-ZOOM RE-READ: the first pass dated this 18 February 1893 and read the mother as Radotić Dace. The entry says born 12 and baptised 14 January 1893, the mother is RADOTIĆ BARE (the first letter is B or D; Bare is the name the 1897 marriage of Marija Borić gives for Niko Borić's wife, so the supposed inconsistency raised above does not exist - the same wife is meant), and the informants are Javor Ivan i Ane (Javor Ivan is the husband of Ane Borić, house 83). A later margin note says she married a Sertić and died on 6 January 1973.
