Read out of a register, and not in the family tree
Kate Perković, wife of Jure Hofjevac
Birth of a child, 3 August 1896, Brinje, Croatia — mother of Hofjevac Luka, of Brinje house 148 - not in the tree.
The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other
person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists
because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than
put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.

- Citation
- FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1893-1897 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 345, entry no. 87 - the birth of "HOFJEVAC LUKA", male, of Brinje house 148, names his parents as "HOFJEVAC JURE" and "PERKOVIĆ KATE". Witnesses Hofjevac Pave i Blažanin Kar[a?]. NOT IN THE TREE. A fourth Perković individual in this file (after Đuso and her father Jozo at house 145, and Marko/Pere/Miko at Novi Kut) and the first Perković woman found - married into the same Hofjenc/Hofjevac family that has already absorbed several Borić women in this file. House 148 is the same number already in this file for Marko Borić, son of Niko Borić and Boletić Marija (image 266) - a coincidence noted, not asserted as meaningful, since the families (Hofjevac and Borić) are otherwise unconnected here. CORRECTED 5 OCTOBER 2026 ON THE SECOND READABLE-ZOOM READING (image 345, left-hand page, second entry; page 292): the first pass dated this 31 August 1896 and gave the witnesses as 'Hofjevac Pave i Blažanin'. The entry is headed 5 kolovoza and says born 3 kolovoza, that is 3 AUGUST 1896; the house reads 168 (or 148); the informants are 'Perkić Mijo i Vulović(?) Ane' (Perkić Mijo, the standing informant, not a Hofjevac); the mother's surname is written PERKONIĆ (v like n: Perković). A margin note says the boy died on 4 March 1974 at Osijek (entered 16 April 1974). This is therefore the third Hofjevac Jure x Perković Kate child on record here (Marko 1892, Manole 1894, Luka 1896).
