THE REGISTER CALLS HER SIMPLY MARIA; this archive says "the second" because her sister of the same name had died on 31 March 1816, twenty months before she was born. Re-using a dead child's name is ordinary practice and is not a clerical error. HER HOUSE NUMBER IS CORRECTED ON THE PAGE, 10 struck and 12 written or the reverse - which is the third time these two numbers have moved under this family. Found by reading the K section of the baptismal index 1812-1831 (sig. 04631 image 169), which lists her as "Kosina Maria - 84". HER DEATH, found 27 September 2026: Mrliska knjiga Kranj-Smartin 1836-1869 book p.163 - "1868 · 6. gestorben, 8. begraben · ZGORNJE BITNO · 9 · MARIA KOSINA, LEDIGE INWOHNERIN · katholisch · weiblich · ALTER 49 Jahre · Auszehrung · Leopold Plinar, coop.". DIED 6 JANUARY 1868, AGED 49 - and she was baptised 6 DECEMBER 1818, so she had turned 49 exactly one month before she died. THE AGE IS EXACT. LEDIGE: she never married, and she was an INWOHNERIN, a lodger, in the house she was born in. HER SISTER GERTRAUD DIED IN THE SAME HOUSE TWELVE YEARS LATER, also unmarried, also entered as a lodger - «neomozena gostja». TWO SISTERS WHO NEVER LEFT AND NEVER MARRIED, in a house neither of them owned. The index lists neither. Matricula, NSAL sig. 00885 image 43, sig. 04631 image 169
