Read out of a register, and not in the family tree
Marija Kalanj, witness at Brinje house 228
Witness at a baptism, 20 December 1899, Brinje, Croatia — witness to the baptism of Murat Jure, of Brinje - not in the tree.
The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other
person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists
because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than
put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.

What the register says
- Event
- witness at a baptism
- Date
- 20 December 1899
- Place
- Brinje, Croatia
- Citation
- FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih (third item on the same film as DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S, entries numbering within calendar year 1899), image 485, entry no. 148 - the baptism of "MURAT JURE", male, born 17 and registered 20 December 1899, of Brinje house 228, son of Murat Jure and Rajković Marija, names "KALANJ MARIJA" as a witness alongside a Petrović Ove (surname read with some doubt). NOT IN THE TREE. A witness only, the Kalanj/Kalauj doubt once carried here is settled (Kalauj is Kalanj, 5 October 2026). The given name Marija is that of Marija Vučetić, wife of Niko Kalanj of house 231 (this file), and of the Marija of the 1899 Vučetić-mother Kalanj entries at that house; whether this is that woman standing witness at another household is a plausible, unconfirmed link, not a merge.
