Read out of a register, and not in the family tree
Mate Kalanj and Kate Šebalj, informants at Brinje house 157 (1894)
Witness at a baptism, 1 August 1894, Brinje, Croatia — named as informants at the birth of Hofjevac Kate, of Brinje house 157 - not in the tree.
The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other
person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists
because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than
put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.

The child is HOFJEVAC KATE, female, born 31 July and registered 1 August 1894, of house 157, daughter of Hofjevac Jozo and Smolčić Ane. This is the second entry (after the November 1893 Krnarić Vid entry, informants "Kalanj Mate i Luce") in which a Kalanj Mate stands as informant; the two wives named differ (Luce, Kate), so one man with two wives, two men named Mate, or a misreading is possible; not settled and not merged.
