Read out of a register, and not in the family tree

Mijo Borić, son of Lojze Borić and Mesić Marica (Kamenica, 1888)

Baptism, 30 March 1888, Kamenica, Brinje parish, Croatia — son of Lojze Borić and Mesić Marica, of Kamenica house 23 - the earliest child on record of the Borić household at that house number - not in the tree.

The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it. FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1888-1900 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 14 (entered as 14 in the viewer), the second entry of the right-hand page - "BORIĆ MIJO", male, born 29 and registered 30 March 1888, of Kamenica (the house number is read as 23 at the frame edge), son of BORIĆ LOJZE and MESIĆ MARICA, both of Brinje parish, farmers, Croats. Informants "Jovanović? Ivica i Manda" (hard to read), matičar Kanett Rafael. NOT IN THE TREE. FOUND ON 5 OCTOBER 2026 ON THE READABLE-ZOOM RE-READ FROM IMAGE 14, an entry the first pass did not record. Lojze is the dialect form of Alojz: this file already holds an Alojz Borić of Kamenica house 23 whose wife is Mesić Manola (a daughter Manole, 1899), and a Lojze Borić at Kamenica house 83 (Luce 1894) and a witness at Kamenica house 5 - so Mijo is very probably the first child of that couple, but the entries give different house numbers and a first name that may be written two ways, so he is recorded as the same couple on name and mother's surname, not merged.
