Read out of a register, and not in the family tree
Niko Kalanj
Marriage, 16 February 1890, Brinje, Croatia — son of Juro Kalanj and Ana, of Brinje house 231 - not in the tree.
The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other
person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists
because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than
put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.

Witnesses Zoričić Stjepan and Rumenović Tomo; officiated by the parish priest, signed "Šrobi Šimun". NOT IN THE TREE, AND NOT THE SAME GENERATION AS ANYONE PUBLISHED: the tree's Klenovica Kalanji begin on the coast with Petrus Kalanj and Magdalena Butković at house 22, born from the 1830s on. Niko, born about 1850, and his father JURO KALANJ, born perhaps the 1810s-1820s, are the first Kalanj men this archive has found actually resident at Brinje itself, independent of the bare parish name in the 1864 Klenovica baptism that first sent this archive looking. Whether Juro's family is an earlier generation of the same Klenovica line, or a separate Brinje branch, is not established.
