Read out of a register, and not in the family tree

Niko Perković (entered first as Miko)

Marriage, 8 November 1897, Brinje parish, Croatia — SON OF MARKO PERKOVIĆ AND LUCE, of Novi Kut 34 (Brinje parish) - not in the tree.

The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it. Citation
FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga vjenčanih 1888-1899 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 653 (right-hand page; page 321), entry no. 19 of 1897 - married at Brinje on 8 (osam) studenoga 1897: bridegroom "PERHONIĆ NIKO" (read Niko, not Miko; Perhonić = Perković), neoženjen (bachelor), 27 years, born at Novi Kut 34, a farmer living at Novi Kut, SON OF PERHONIĆ MARKO AND LUCE; bride "BUBLIĆ RUŽE", neudata (unmarried), 26 years, born at Plašćica 4, a farmer, daughter of BUBLIĆ KATE (read; Kate, Jure) and ANE. Witnesses Rumenović Jure and Smoljić Marko; officiant Šrobi Šimun (re-read at close zoom 6 October 2026: the groom's given name is Niko). NOT IN THE TREE. A THIRD PERKOVIĆ GENERATION, traced entirely from this one register: PERE (named as father of Marko, 25 August 1895) - MARKO (widower, married the widow Bublić Ane on 25 August 1895; born Novi Kut 34) - NIKO (this entry). The mother here, LUCE, is not the Ane of Marko's 1895 bride; so Niko was born to an earlier wife of Marko named Luce (Marko was already a widower in 1895), which is a reading, not a document naming both wives together. The 1895 bride is a BUBLIĆ of Plašćica 4 and so is this one, a Plašćica Bublić house taking Perković husbands in 1895 and 1897; a first-pass entry of Marko Perković's widow bride was read Dublić. Perković Niko of Novi Kut is probably the Niko Perhonić who stands as witness in 1889 and 1892 only if those men were already adult then, which this groom (b. about 1870) would barely be in 1889: not established.
