Read out of a register, and not in the family tree

Pave Kalanj, son of Viol Kalanj and Kate Zoričić

Baptism, 14 January 1892, Brinje, Croatia — son of Viol Kalanj and Zoričić Kate, of Brinje house 188 - the second child of that household, missed on the first pass - not in the tree.

The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it. Witnesses Perkić Mijo (the recurring near-miss) i Dražanović Manda, matičar Sertić Šimun. NOT IN THE TREE. FOUND ON 5 OCTOBER 2026 WHILE SETTLING THE KALAUJ QUESTION: this entry was read at the time as a Kalauj near-miss and so never recorded. It is a clear Kalanj in a clean hand, and it is the missing middle child of the Viol Kalanj x Zoričić Kate household already in this file - Kate (December 1890, house 118), PAVE (January 1892, house 188), Franjo (August 1893, house 189) and Marija (March 1899, house 188) - and it shows the house number 188 belongs to this household from 1892, which explains the 188 of the 1899 entries and settles the 118/189/188 drift noted earlier as a scribe's habit with one house. The Kalanj household of Jerko Kalanj and Krnarić Ruže at house 188 in 1899 (this file) therefore shares a house with the Viol household for at least seven years.
