Read out of a register, and not in the family tree

Petar Kalanj, son of Tome Kalanj and Marija, died aged 3 (house 181 as read, 1894)

Death, 18 October 1894, Brinje, Croatia — son of Kalanj Tome and Marija, of Brinje house 181 (as read; the baptism has 188 and the hand drifts by a digit) - almost certainly the Petar baptised on 14 November 1891 to Tome Kalanj and Mesić Marija of house 188 (this file): same given name, same father, same mother's given name, and a child of two years eleven months in October 1894 is entered as 3 g. Recorded as a death row on its own, not merged with the baptism row, because the entry does not name the child's birth date or the mother's surname. FOUND ON THE TILE-BY-TILE RE-READ OF THE UMRLI VOLUME (6 October 2026): the first, whole-spread pass of the volume missed it, and it is the only entry the re-read added. The Tome Kalanj household therefore lost Petar in October 1894 and has since had Manole (1895), Franciska (1898) and the Gjuro or Grgo who died in 1899 (this file) - not in the tree.

The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.
