- Poročna knjiga Kranj-Šmartin 1881-1899, book p.65 - at the marriage of ANTON ŽIHERL and MARIJA KOZINA in 1898 the bride’s parents are entered "URBAN KOZINA, KMET" and "MARIJANA GORJANC". KMET is a full peasant farmer. AND THE SAME ENTRY CARRIES TWO MORE KOZINA. The groom’s own mother is "MARIJANA KOZINA", already dead, wife of the late Urban Žiherl, kajžar - so a Kozina woman had married into the Žiherl house a generation earlier, and the 1898 marriage is cousins marrying or something near it. And the first witness is "JANEZ KOZINA, gruntarjev sin" - a farmer’s son, most likely the bride’s brother.
