Read out of a register, and not in the family tree

Vid Borić

Marriage, 27 April 1890, Kamenica, Brinje parish, Croatia — son of Luka Borić, of Kamenica (a hamlet of Brinje parish) - not in the tree.

The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it. Citation
FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga vjenčanih 1888-1899 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 530 (right-hand page; page 75), entry no. 13 - married at Brinje on 27 (dvadesetsedam) travnja 1890: "BORIĆ VIOL" (Vid; the given name is clear at close zoom, CORRECTED 5 October 2026 from the first pass's doubtful reading), udovac (widower), 25 years, born at Kamenica house 17, a farmer of Kamenica, son of BORIĆ LUKA and LUCE, married "SERTIĆ KATE" (not Šorić), djevojka (maiden), 28 years, born at Brinje house 127, daughter of SERTIĆ MATE and ANE. Witnesses Pavlović Jakov and BORIĆ JOZO. NOT IN THE TREE: this archive's /kalanj/ page already names a Jure Borić of Brinje, from the 1910 Stipe Kalanj emigration papers, whose daughter Ana Borić married into the Papić family - this entry is the first independent confirmation from the parish register itself that Borić is a real, resident surname at Kamenica, with at least three men attested in 1890 (Luka, this groom, and Jozo). Whether any of them is kin to the Jure Borić already named on this archive's own page is not established.
