Read out of a register, and not in the family tree
Viol Kalanj
Birth of a child, 26 December 1890, Brinje, Croatia — of Brinje house 118, married to Zoričić Kate - not in the tree.
The family tree has never heard of this person. Every other
person page in this archive is a record the MyHeritage export holds. This one is not: it exists
because the register was read at the page, and it is kept beside the tree rather than
put into it. The tree is an export and this archive does not edit it.

What the register says
- Event
- birth of a child
- Date
- 26 December 1890
- Place
- Brinje, Croatia
- Citation
- FamilySearch, Croatia Church Books 1516-1994, Brinje Matična knjiga rođenih 1888-1900 (DGS 005498262, waypoint 9R26-82S), image 116, entry no. 138 - the birth of "KALANJ KATE", female, of Brinje house 118, names her father as "KALANJ VIOL" and her mother as "ZORIČIĆ KATE". Witnesses Fumić Jure and Marija. NOT IN THE TREE. A THIRD Kalanj house number at Brinje, distinct from Niko and Juro's house 231 and Mijo and Mate's house 249 (both this file, from the marriage book) - a third resident Kalanj household, independent of the other two. CORRECTION OF 5 OCTOBER 2026 ON THE FULL READABLE-ZOOM RE-READ OF IMAGE 116 (right-hand page, first entry; page 215): the HOUSE NUMBER READS 188, not 118 - the same house as the Viol Kalanj x Zoričić Kate household of Ane (November 1888, image 42) and Pave (January 1892, this file), so the 'third Kalanj house number' this row describes does not exist: the 118 was a misreading of 188. The child's given name is read at this scale as RUŽE (the first pass read Kate); the stroke is not certain, and the row keeps its original name. Entry no. 128 (born 26 and registered 27 December 1890), informants 'Fumić Jure i Marija' as before. So the Viol Kalanj household at house 188 has Ane (1888), this child (1890), Pave (1892) and Franjo (1893, house read 189) on record.
