Andres LERENA Traibel

A TENTH CHILD OF AVELINO AND AMBROSIA, dated 21 September 2026 from the act itself. FamilySearch indexes him as 'born 16 March 1896, christened 25 November 1896', which is six years after his father died. The act reads: 'En treinta y uno de Diciembre de mil ochocientos sesenta y uno. El Canonigo Dn. JUAN JOSE BRID, bautizo solemnemente a ANDRES, NACIDO EL DIEZ Y SEIS DE MARZO DE MIL OCHOCIENTOS CINCUENTA Y SIETE, hijo legitimo de Dn. Avelino Lerena y de Da. Ambrosia Traibel, ORIENTALES. Padrinos Dn. AVELINO LERENA (HIJO).' Born 16 MARCH 1857 and baptised at four years old, on the last day of 1861 - the same day his brother Juan Arturo was christened at the same parish, aged ten months. HIS GODFATHER IS HIS ELDEST BROTHER, and the parish wrote the disambiguation this archive spent two days arriving at: 'AVELINO LERENA (HIJO)' - Avelino the son, which is Avelino Eduardo, and not his father of the same name. AND HE SHARES A BIRTHDAY WITH A BROTHER: Pedro Alberto Ysabelino was born 16 March 1852, five years to the day before him. That coincidence is what made the index's duplicated '16 March 1896' look like machine noise, and it is not - the index keeps the day and the month and replaces only the year. AND THE YEAR IN THAT ACT CANNOT STAND. THE BIRTH COLUMN IS DELIBERATELY EMPTY, 21 September 2026. The archive's own contradiction gate refused the build the moment this row was written, and it was right: ALFREDO JUSTINIANO WAS BORN 2 OCTOBER 1856 AND ANDRES IS HERE SAID TO BE BORN 16 MARCH 1857 - five and a half months later, to the same mother. Both cannot be true. THE WORDS WERE RE-READ AT DOUBLE MAGNIFICATION BEFORE ANYTHING WAS CONCLUDED and they are not ambiguous: 'mil ochocientos CINCUENTA Y SIETE'. So the fault is not in the reading. THE WEAKER WITNESS IS THIS ONE, AND THE REASON IS THAT IT IS A COPY. Andres's year survives only in an 1896 transcript of an 1861 act - two hands between the font and the page read here. Alfredo's comes from the ORIGINAL register of San Francisco de Asis, and it is corroborated independently: a man born 2 October 1856 is thirty-five on 3 February 1892, which is the age he gave the priest at his own wedding. WHAT IS KEPT: the day and the month, 16 MARCH, and the baptism of 31 December 1861. WHAT IS NOT: the year. He is somewhere between 1857 and 1861 and this archive does not know where. THE TEST, and it is a specific one: the ORIGINAL entry, libro 7o de Bautismos of Nuestra Senora del Carmen del Cordon, pagina 378 - not the 1896 certificate of it.
