On 16 September a working log found a branch indexed LERENA VILLADEMOROS and set out two readings without picking one: either Avelino Lerena Fernandez (b.1815) married twice, Ambrosia Traibel and then Celedonia Villademoros, or Avelino Eduardo is a SON of his. It is the son. Two separate parish acts give this man's own father as AVELINO SERENA/LERENA with AMBROSIA TRAIBEL named on the record - so he is a child of that marriage, and the Villademoros children are Sancho's great-grandchildren. HE IS THEREFORE A NEW CHILD OF AVELINO AND AMBROSIA, beside Alejandro, Josefa, Ana Rosario, Alfredo Justiniano and Mercedes. He married CELEDONIA VILLADEMOROS, daughter of Pedro Villademoros and Angelica Mendez. INDEX-LEVEL: both acts are machine-indexed and neither image has been opened here. AND THE TEST NAMED ABOVE WAS RUN THE SAME EVENING AND CAME BACK EMPTY. LERENA with spouse surname VILLADEMOROS, Uruguay: 6,352 records, and not one of them is a marriage act. Every hit is a parent entry on somebody else's baptism or civil registration. The control is the one that worked two hours earlier: the same query shape on LERENA with spouse JUANICO puts the marriage act of 19 December 1864 at RANK ONE. So the shape finds a marriage when there is one to find. NEITHER VILLADEMOROS MARRIAGE IS IN THE INDEXED RECORD, and the brothers-and-sisters reading stays an inference. It would be settled by the parish marriage books of the Cordon and Union, which have not been walked. AND HE HAS MORE CHILDREN THAN THIS ARCHIVE COULD SEE, FOUND 21 September 2026 BY DELETING A SEARCH PARAMETER. A parent-pair query on him with CELEDONIA VILLADEMOROS returns ZERO. Dropping the mother's SURNAME and keeping only 'Celedonia' returns SEVEN - including the two christenings this archive already held, which is how the zero was known to be false. The seven add: PEDRO SEGUNDO LERENA VILLADEMOROS, who died at Montevideo on 23 August 1936 aged 66, certificate 150, married to PAULINA PRANDO ALGAR; an AVELINO LERENA who died at Montevideo on 5 January 1914 aged 45, certificate 9, married to CARMEN LORENTE, whose mother is written CELEDONIA VILLADEMORO without the s; and marriage registrations of 1921 for both Avelino Pedro Joaquin Silvestre and Pedro Gualberto. WHETHER THAT IS FOUR CHILDREN OR TWO IS NOT SETTLED AND IS NOT GUESSED HERE. Pedro Segundo's estimated 1870 sits on Pedro Gualberto's birth of 19 October 1869; the 1914 Avelino's estimated 1869 sits four years off Avelino Pedro Joaquin Silvestre's December 1865 - and a man who died in 1914 cannot register a marriage in 1921. The ages come from death certificates and are the weakest field there is. TEST: the two 1921 marriage registrations, which would show which of these men were alive to marry. HE IS ARGENTINO ON THE PLATE, 27 September 2026, and that is new. The Iglesia Matriz act of 29 September 1872 calls him 'AVELINO LERENA, argentino' and his wife 'CELEDONIA VILLADEMOROS, argentina'. AND IT NAMES HIS PARENTS: 'Abuelos paternos AVELINO y AMBROSIA TRAIBEL' - so his descent from Avelino Lerena and Ambrosia Traibel is on a parish act and no longer rests on the index alone. A THIRD CHILD is added from it: Angelica Maria, born 8 April 1872.
