Pedro Alberto Ysabelino LERENA Traibel (the ALBERTO of 1852-1921)

A SON OF AVELINO LERENA AND AMBROSIA TRAIBEL THIS ARCHIVE HAD SEEN AND NEVER DATED, 21 September 2026. The 14 September working log already listed 'Pedro Alberto Isabelino' among the Lerena Traibel, off the index, and left him there. THE INDEX SAYS HE WAS BORN IN 1896, WHICH IS SIX YEARS AFTER HIS FATHER DIED. He was born 16 MARCH 1852 and baptised at eight months. What the index dated 1896 is the CERTIFIED COPY, issued that year from libro 1o de Bautismos folio 135. HIS GODFATHER WAS HIS UNCLE: PEDRO ANT.o LERENA, with VICENTA VEGA - and the boy is named for him, as YSABELINO is for his grandmother Ysabel Centeno. Grandparents on the act: Sancho Lerena and Maria Fernandez, Juan Traibel and Ysabel Centeno. AND HE IS THE ALBERTO LERENA OF THE 1921 DEATH REGISTRATION - Montevideo, died 1 March 1921, certificate 246, father Avelino Lerena, mother Ambrosia Treibel, wife MARIA INES LARRIERA. That registration gives his age as 69 against a birth of 16 March 1852, which makes him 68 by three weeks; an age at death is the weakest field on any certificate and the identification does not rest on it. THE IDENTIFICATION IS AN INFERENCE, NOT AN ACT: no record read here writes 'Pedro Alberto Ysabelino' and 'Alberto' on the same page. What joins them is the parents, the year and the name. See data/1852-aguada-union-certificates.tsv. AND HE HAD EIGHT CHILDREN, IN A DEPARTMENT THIS BRANCH WAS NEVER KNOWN TO REACH - found 21 September 2026 by asking for him and his wife as a PAIR. Alberto Lerena with Maria Ines Larriera returns sixteen Uruguayan records, and they are eight children born in the DEPARTAMENTO DE SAN JOSE between 1879 and 1898: MARIA ADELINA (1879), ZELMIRA CARLOTA (1880), ALBERTO JULIAN (1883), CARLOS AMBROSIO FLORENCIO (bapt. 1889), MARIA CONSUELO (1892), MARIA ANTONIETA (1894), ANGEL MIGUEL AVELINO (1898) and MARIA INES, who died at Montevideo in 1922. ZELMIRA WAS ALREADY IN THIS REGISTER, entered on 14 September and written off as 'NOT ours'. She is his daughter. THREE OF THE EIGHT CARRY NAMES OUT OF THE HOUSEHOLD AT THE AGUADA - his sister Maria Adelina, his brother Carlos Ambrosio, and his father Avelino. That is corroboration and not evidence; the evidence is the death registration. All eight are INDEX-LEVEL. THE IMAGE WAS OPENED THE SAME DAY IT WAS CALLED AN ERRAND, and the weak link is now PRIMARY. Act No. 246, film 008165205 image 01604. He died at six in the morning of 1 March 1921, at the calle JUAN PAULLIER, Montevideo, and the act gives him as 'de nacionalidad ORIENTAL, NACIDO EN MONTEVIDEO, de SESENTA Y NUEVE ANOS de edad, de estado casado, de profesion RENTISTA, a consecuencia de CARCINOMA DE LA VEJIGA, segun consta del certificado del Dr. LUSSICH', and then: 'Que el finado era hijo de AVELINO LERENA, fallecido, y de AMBROSIA TREIBEL, fallecida.' BORN AT MONTEVIDEO - which is where Pedro Alberto Ysabelino was baptised, at the Aguada, and NOT where his own children were born. The declarants were not family: JUAN MIRAMONTE, fifty, of 18 de Julio, and PEDRO FERNANDEZ, forty-eight, of Cerrito 230. AND THE ACT COUNTS HIS CHILDREN: 'era casado con Maria Ines Larriera, de cuya union quedan NUEVE HIJOS llamados: Maria Adelina, Zelmira, ELEIZA, Alberto, Carlos, Maria Ines, Maria Consuelo, Maria Antonieta y Miguel Avelino.' Eight of the nine were already found in the civil index; the third is a daughter no index here has matched, and her name is not securely read - ELEIZA or ELOIZA. The age of 69 is fifteen days early against a birth of 16 March 1852, which is what an age given by two neighbours looks like. RENTISTA is a fact about this branch nothing else here records: by 1921 it lived on property income.
