The family
No family chart is drawn for this person, and that is a statement about the data rather than about them. This archive records kin against a name — the tree on a name page gathers everyone who shares it, so it may hold one person's dates beside another's wife. Rather than hand a reader a family that might not be this person's, the chart is drawn only where the relationship is recorded person by person, which today means the direct line.
What the archive knows
She is placed — by three words in a godparent cell. Gologorica baptisms, 21 October 1847, house 7 (M01069122, folio 108): the godparents of Jacobus Cocolet's child are «MAXIMILIANUS DEFRANCESCHI ET SOROR ADELAIDIS», entered cives. (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214.)*
Her brother is Maximilianus Antonius Josephus, born 8 January 1828, son of Josephus Defranceschi and Lambertina née Peschle — so she is their daughter, and the «Maria Adelgidis» the 1826 status animarum lists sixth among their ten children is her. Until today this row read «tree-derived: no register has been read for this person here», line unplaced.
What makes it worth something is that it is independent. The census list and the family tree are two readings of one household; nothing outside them said these two were siblings. A godparent cell written twenty-one years later, by a different priest, does.
⚠ And it opens a question this archive is not closing. The pedigree gives the same parents a daughter Anastasia, born 8 December 1824; the census gives them Maria Adelgidis and no Anastasia; this row is Adelaidis, born 1824. Three names, one birth year, possibly one child. The worklist holds it — nothing is merged on a suspicion and no id is moved.
⭐ And a second brother names her, which is what makes it firm. Gologorica baptisms, 13 March 1852 (M01069127, folio 113): «Enrico Defranceschi et soror Adelaidis», cives. (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214.)*
Named as a sister twice, by two different brothers — Maximilianus in 1847 and Enrico in 1852. That is as firm as a godparent column gets.
⭐ A third sighting, and this one has a child named after it. Gologorica baptisms, 31 May 1868, house 7 (M01069147, folio 134): she stands godmother with her brother «Henricus Defranceschi» to Clotildis ADELAIDIS Defranceschi, the younger of her brother Franciscus Xaverius's twin daughters — the pair entered possidentes. (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214.)*
A woman chosen as a godmother at about forty-four, with a niece called after her in the same entry, is a person with a life in this village — not a name that drifted into a pedigree. Worklist 175 still holds the question of whether she is also Anastasia or Amelia; this does not answer it and it does make her harder to dissolve.
