The family
No family chart is drawn for this person, and that is a statement about the data rather than about them. This archive records kin against a name — the tree on a name page gathers everyone who shares it, so it may hold one person's dates beside another's wife. Rather than hand a reader a family that might not be this person's, the chart is drawn only where the relationship is recorded person by person, which today means the direct line.
What the archive knows
Her first document, found 5 October 2026 — and she is sixty-nine in it. The Gologorica baptism register, 30 October 1841, house 2 (folio 103, M01069116): at the baptism of Fortunatus Sestan — son of Joannes Sestan and Sancta Alexandra nata Defranceschi — the godparents are «Franciscus Defranceschi ac Matthea Defranceschi», and the Conditio cell enters the pair «cives». (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214.)*
Until today this archive carried her as a name off the family tree with an empty note. It now has her alive, at Gologorica, chosen as a godmother at sixty-nine, and entered among the citizens of the village rather than its rustici.
⚠ Whose daughter or whose wife she was is still not established here, and the register does not say. The house-2 section puts her beside the other Defranceschi women of these pages.

⭐ 6 October 2026 — her second document, and this one is her own.
> Gologorica deaths, image M01069278, page 98: «1858 Septbris 8° · 6 · Mathaea Defranceschi, agla, munita s. sacramentis moribundorum, sepulta vero 9° hujus · 86 · hydropisis»
Dead 8 September 1858, aged eighty-six, of dropsy, buried next day. Eighty-six lands on 1772, which is the birth this archive holds — 20 February 1772 — and the death, previously carried as «about 1858», is now exact. (doc.)
⚠ The surname was not taken on trust. Four months earlier on the same page, in the same hand, stands «Ane Maria DEPRATO, agla, 66, febris». Set side by side the two words are plainly different lengths and shapes — which is the only way this archive reads a «De—» surname here.
⭐ AND SHE DIES IN THE DEPRATO HOUSE. House 6 is named for that family by the death book's own index — «Deprato Leonardus N.º 6» — and by three Deprato deaths in it: the retired priest Joseph (1801), Joannes Baptista (1809) and Catharina, widow of the late Leonardus Deprato (1817).
⚠⚠ WITHDRAWN, 6 October 2026 — the inference below was built on a premise that is backwards. See corrections. The register names a married woman by her HUSBAND's surname, not her maiden one — proved by «Lambertina Defranceschi» (born Peschle) on page 104. So Mathaea was the wife of a Defranceschi, her birth surname unknown, and nothing here joins the two families. The struck reasoning is kept below so the error is visible:
~~THE READING THIS SUGGESTS — and it is an inference, flagged as one. This archive already holds her as «wife of Leonardus, house 6, maiden surname not captured». These registers routinely enter married women under their birth surname — «Catharina Deprato nata Rovisi», «Maria … nata Rabar». So the economical reading is that she was born a Defranceschi and married a Leonardus DEPRATO of house 6 — which would make her the join between the two «De—» families this archive has spent weeks telling apart.
⚠ Nothing names her husband's surname yet. The marriage is the next thing to find.

✔ What stands: her death is exact — 8 September 1858, aged 86, hydropisis, house 6, buried the 9th — and the line record's «Wife of Leonardus (house 6)» now reads straightforwardly: she was married to a Leonardus Defranceschi. ⚠ The open question is why a Defranceschi wife dies in a house that was Deprato in 1801, 1809 and 1817.
